University of Oregon Lillis Business Complex
To help the business school establish a new identity, this 180,000 gsf addition and renovation to historic Gilbert Hall has a dramatic atrium that serves as a campus gateway as well as a popular gathering place. Designed to complement the school's team-based curriculum, the student-centered facility emphasizing cutting-edge teaching spaces for small-group and experiential learning. The daylit classrooms, radiant-heated floors, natural ventilation and numerous other features will make it 50 percent more efficient than the Oregon energy code requires. Together, the features add up to the most environmentally advanced campus building in Oregon.
