SBA Differentiated Scholarships & Applications
For the 2005-2006 Academic Year*
The School of Business Administration (SBA) invites all undergraduate and graduate students who are admitted or will be admitted to the SBA by Fall term 2005 to apply for scholarships for the 2005-2006 academic year.
The following SBA scholarships require separate applications. Specific information about each scholarship, including application deadlines, is included in each application. For the applications, click on each corresponding link (some scholarships may not require applications or the applications may not be available at this time).
GENERAL BUSINESS
Ames Scholarship (UG and GR): Outstanding undergraduate or graduate students pursuing studies leading to careers in technology. A minimum GPA of 3.5. Amount: Full tuition, several awards available. DUE APRIL 1st.
Nancy O’Rourke Tang (UG, GR): Junior-level or beyond working toward a four-year degree, a post-baccalaureate accounting certificate, or master’s degree with an accounting concentration. Restricted to returning students with significant break in education. Special consideration given to single-parent applicants. Amount: varies. DOES NOT REQUIRE SBA ADMISSION.
Real Estate Brokers of Portland Metro Scholarship (UG): Outstanding junior or senior admitted to the School of Business. This scholarship is not major specific, but preference will be given to students with an interest in Real Estate Finance. A minimum GPA of 2.75 is required. Applications due April 5, 2004.
ACCOUNTING
Charles Rawlinson/PriceWaterhouseCoopers (UG, GR): An Accounting faculty member will nominate an outstanding accounting student to receive this award. No application necessary. Amount: varies.
Promising Accountants (UG): Junior-level students in accounting. A minimum GPA of 3.25. Amount: Two awards, varies. DOES NOT REQUIRE SBA ADMISSION.
FOOD INDUSTRY
Food Industry Leadership Program Scholarships (UG, GR): Outstanding business students in food industry management program, financial need, must be pursuing a career in the food industry.
- National Frozen Foods Association/Zerocrats: Amount: varies.
- Pepsi-Co: Amount: varies
- Robert G. Miller: Preference is given to employees and children of employees of Fred Meyer, Inc. Amount: varies.

American Production and Inventory Control Society Scholarship (UG, GR): Outstanding junior-level student in Supply and Logistics Management (SLM) or graduate student with an emphasis in SLM. Contact leeb@sba.pdx.edu for more information. Amount: varies.
HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
Drew Lippay Scholarship in Human Resource Management (UG, GR- MBA only): Awarded to an outstanding undergraduate or graduate student in Human Resource Management. Applicants must be a member of HRMA and have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Amount: $1,000. Contact alanc@sba.pdx.edu for more information.
Georgia M. Sherman Award for Excellence in Human Resource Management (UG): Outstanding senior-level student who demonstrates outstanding potential in the field of human resource management. Minimum GPA of 2.50. Amount: $1,000. Contact alanc@sba.pdx.edu for more information.
GRADUATE ONLY
Alice Armstrong, Ph.D. Scholarship (GR- MBA only): Woman graduate student most likely to become a business leader and role model for other professional women, must have completed at least 24 hours in the MBA program. Amount: varies.
Portland Professional Forum (GR): Outstanding student in the School of Business Administration ’s MBA program. Amount: varies.
Robert Garner Cameron (GR): PSU graduate student who exemplifies Cameron’s dedication to the community and his ethical business practices. Amount: varies.
