How to Read the Open/Closed List

Date

The Open-Closed List is a snapshot of enrollment and course information as it appeared on the morning the list was produced.   Therefore, the information provided on this list is subject to change.  Be sure to check the date at the top of the Open-Closed List.

CRN

The Course Reference Number is the 5-digit number used for registration.

SECT

This refers to the course section number.

Please note: The section numbers "WKD" and "WKE" refer to classes that are restricted to students admitted to the Weekend Business Program.

STAT

This let's you know the status of the class.  "C" means the class has been cancelled, and will not be offered.  "A" means the class is active.

MAX ENRL

This is the maximum amount of students who are allowed to enroll in the class.

ACTUAL ENRL

Of the maximum enrollment, this is the amount of students who have actually enrolled in the class.

SEATS AVAIL

By subtracting the actual enrollment amount from the maximum enrollment, these are the seats that are still available.

WAIT LIST COUNT

This is the maximum amount of students who are able to be put on the wait list.

Please note: Once a class fills up, the next person who tries to register will activate the wait list.  Once the wait list has been activated, if a student drops the course (thus leaving a seat available), that seat will not be filled until the first day of class.

WAIT LIST AVAIL

This is how many spots are still available on the wait list.  If the amount is zero, your only chance of getting into the class will be to attend the first day.

Please note: If you are on the wait list, you will want to go to the first day of class.  Bring an Add/Drop form (available in SBA Student Services, SBA 240).  If the instructor feels there is enough room to add you into the course, (s)he will sign the form, after which you will take the form to the Registrar.   The Registrar will officially register you for the course.

These refer to the days of the week the class meets:

SU = Sunday
M = Monday
T = Tuesday
W = Wednesday
R = Thursday
