Food Marketing & Logistics Certificate
The Food Marketing & Logistics Certificate (FMLC) requires that students take a minimum of 17 credit hours of graduate business courses, including completing a business project that has a focus on a food or Consumer Package Goods (CPG) industry firm. In addition to the 6-credit business project, students must take 8 credits of required courses, and an elective course. The elective course will be chosen from a prescribed set of graduate business courses. Students completing the program will receive a Food Marketing & Logistics Certificate from PSU.
Students completing the program will obtain an understanding of the macro- competitive dynamics of the industry; understand the industry structure, key players and value chain; and will understand issues in customer driven supply chain and purchasing. Elective classes will allow students to fit topics from their functional areas that are relevant to the industry. The business project course offers students an opportunity to put their skills to work in a real industry sponsored practical experience.
