Rodney Rogers, Associate Dean

Rodney K. Rogers, Ph.D., CPA , is an associate professor in the School of Business Administration at Portland State University and is currently serving as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. Rodney has taught financial reporting, integrated accounting issues and international financial reporting in undergraduate and graduate programs. He has been active in financial reporting research, focusing on the ways in which financial analysts use information, and the strategies firms employ to disclose information to the marketplace. His research has been published in a variety of academic and professional journals. He holds a research faculty appointment at the Cranfield School of Management (U.K.). In addition to teaching in the degree programs at Portland State, Rodney has consulted with a variety of businesses and organizations in the Pacific Northwest. Some of his clients include Nike, Portland General Electric, Schnitzer Steel, Waggner-Edstrom, and Veterans Affairs Medical Centers.

Rodney has a Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University. Prior to completing his Ph.D. at Case Western Reserve University, he practiced as a CPA in the Auditing and Tax areas. Rodney is a Cleveland Indians fan, active in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the quickly aging father of twin 6 ½ year old boys.
