After graduating from UCLA with an MBA in International Finance, Jim spent two years working in the Finance Department of a large multinational consumer products corporation. From there he went into international banking for almost 18 years including 15 years in Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, South Korea and Singapore. Bank treasury management, investment banking, corporate banking, corporate consulting and risk management and managing the regional training center were some of his assignments. Jim has a BA in East Asian Studies, also from UCLA, and spent four years in the US Army Security Agency. He has pursued a variety of volunteer activities in Portland following retirement in 1997. |
