Steve Brown
Design and Development
Imagination may be more important than knowledge, but Steve Brown has the power of both. Steve’s sixteen years of experience is evident in every project he leads. A partner and director, Steve is responsible for Fiori’s design and product development strategy. Prior to Fiori, Steve was Director of Product Design at Ziba, and a product development manager at Intel (where he received the Intel Achievement Award).
Past Clients Include: Hewlett-Packard, Iomega, Microsoft, Proctor & Gamble and FedEx.
Jessica Coffey
Research and Strategy
You are here. Your consumer is there. Jessica Coffey knows what it takes to take companies from here to there. Jessica draws on over a decade of contextual research and product experience to direct Fiori’s research and strategy group. Prior to joining Fiori, Jessica was Design Research Manager at the Center for Universal Design, a Professor at North Carolina State University and Senior Researcher with E-Lab: a firm known for its exceptionally innovative consumer and product research.
Past Clients Include: JanSport, Steelcase, Whirlpool, Frito-Pepsi and Quaker Oats.
Nancy Hafermann
Business Development
The world of business is one of relationships and conversations. Nancy forges excellent business relationships with our clients, treating them as true partners in the process. A partner, co-founder and director, Nancy’s experiences run across many product categories, including consumer, electronics, fitness and interiors. She has received awards from IDSA for her work with NCR, Netpulse Communications, Intel and Virtual Vision. Before founding Fiori in 1994, Nancy held design and management positions at Virtual Vision, Precor and Teague.
Past Clients Include: Giro, Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, Precor and Scott.
Pat Rodden
Business Operations
Pat Rodden is an expert at creating smooth, supportive environments where ideas can thrive. Pat is responsible for operations at Fiori including business management and human resources. A partner, co-founder and director, Pat has nearly two decades of unique experience developing products and strategies for leading consumer, sport, recreation and electronics companies. Prior to founding Fiori in 1994, Pat held product development and program director positions at Virtual Vision, Precor, Paccar and Hughes.
Past Clients Include: Cisco, Netpulse, Philips, Planet Halo and Zooka.
Steve Rodden
Marketing and PR
Steve Rodden sees the forest. He sees the trees. And he wants to share his vision and excitement with companies eager to harvest the possibilities. Steve is a partner, director and Fiori evangelist: sharing Fiori’s methodical, people-driven approach to research and product development with the world. Responsible for Fiori’s service strategy, Steve brings with him over fifteen years of experience and success leading product development teams. Before Fiori, Steve was a Section Manager with Intel, where he was responsible for enterprise technology product development and industry initiatives.
Past Clients Include: InFocus, Intel, LSIL, Samsung and Hewlett-Packard.
Chris Valentine
Industrial Design
While Chris Valentine draws from years of experience, he draws inspiration from the world around him. He is fueled by a fascination with consumers and what they demand from their products. Chris leads Fiori’s industrial design team, armed with fifteen years of design experience and an unquenchable curiosity. Prior to joining Fiori, Chris was senior industrial designer at Ziba Design in Portland, Oregon. Chris has been the recipient of over ten international design awards for his work in consumer, fitness and technology products.
